Macedonian orchestra records music for Mother Teresa biopic

The Macedonian symphonic orchestra F.A.M.E.'S will record the score for a Hollywood biopic about Mother Teresa. The move titled "The Letters" is expected to be premiered on 5 September 2014 on the day when the Nobel Prize winner passed away.

"We feel honored for managing to conclude a deal to record the score for this film in our studio. In a way, we are experiencing it as a symbolic act having in mind Mother Teresa's connection with Skopje. The music is going to be recorded for two days and the composer will stay in Skopje for four days to make the necessary preparations for recording the tracks," said the orchestra's manager Laurent Koppitz.

Written and directed by William C. Riead, "The Letters" stars British actress Juliet Stevenson in the lead role of Mother Teresa.

The feature film is based on the real-life letters Mother Teresa wrote to a longtime spiritual director over the years. It was shot on various locations in India in 2012. ba/17:14
