In Albanian local elections, Temelko elected to third term as Mayor of Pustec

While Albanian electoral commission is counting the votes from Sunday's municipal elections, the only ethnic Macedonian Mayor, Edmond Temelko, declared he won in the municipality of Pustec. Temelko, who leads the Macedonian Alliance for European Integration, says he won his third term with over 2.000 votes in his favour, while opposing candidate Mihalak Apostolovski from the Democrat Party won 488 votes.

“One of the companies, expected to be based in Skopje, with its investment will create 300 jobs as of January 2016. The second one will hire nearly 1,500 jobless people in south-eastern Macedonia. It will begin working in an existing facility this fall while also building a new plant that is set to be completed in early 2017,” PM Nikola Gruevski announced in his speech delivered last night at a ceremony marking the 25th anniversary of the ruling party VMRO-DPMNE.

Referring to infrastructure, Gruevski said that 21 local roads were being built at the moment with many more to be constructed by the end of year and in 2016.

“The people lend us their trust when they need us the most. For their trust in us, farmers, pensioners, young people… they can all feel the benefits. Also, like never before, by opening new jobs, the unemployment rate was dropped from 38% to 27.3% in times when it increased in many crisis-hit countries,” PM Gruevski stated. ba/13:10
