Tomche from Bitola a prodigy child reached the world astronomy competition

His family survives with only one paycheck and from collecting bottles.
But the poor financial situation did not prevent Tomche Kirizi (18) from studying.
From the first grade, primary school up to the fourth year he hasn't received a
lower grade than a five.

This year he graduated as the first in  the generation at the technical school
"Gorgi Naumov" in Bitola.
He  is known amongst his friends and peers  as a very talented mathematician
and physicist with solid knowledge of astronomy.
Apart from the frequent presence in regional and state competitions in
mathematics, where he won awards, this summer Tomche took a part in the

wolrd competition in Atsronomy in Romania

I was part of a huge team with two hundred young talents in astronomy from 32
countries around the world.
I secured the place because I was among the top five winners of the astronomy
competition in Macedonia.
In Romania, we had a problem-solving test, a theoretical part, a practical part
such as data processing from astronomy, observation with a telescope and a
part of the planetarium says talented Kirizi.

Tome developed the  love for astronomy  in  high school.
Unfortunately, in Romania, he did not rank among the winners because of the big
competition.

For the competition, we prepared ourselves  by using online articles and from
the books that the professor gave us.
There are not many options  in Bitola to advance in astronomy, we do not have
equipment, such as telescopes etc.
In Romania, we had the opportunity to get acquainted with advanced equipment
and learnmore from other participants added Kirizi.

The trip and the stay of the young Tomce  for the competition in Romania was paid
the municipal organization of the Red Cross Organisation in Bitola
The Red Cross helps us, they helped me to dress up for my prom  and gave us  money to pay
the expenses for the trip to Romania, 250 euros. We had 50 euros left and the next day we
gave them back to the Red Cross.

Thanks to the Red Cross we have internet and a laptop at home says Tomce's mother
We took social assistance for a while, but they abolished it. Now we are  currently collecting
bottles and the older daughter is working - tells the mother Zorka Kiryazi.

She sacrificed to feed and educate her children.
I will ask them what they need for school because we are financially weak, I dont want
my kids  to not to have  a notebook or some accessories for school, so that they feel
inferior.
If I had to, I would not have to eat the day, for them to have food for school. From the bookstore,
if I had, I would borrow accessories - adds the sacrificial mother.
Her work paid off because the son graduated as   the best student in high school ,
and in a month he will be a freshman at the new Faculty of Information and Computer
Technologies in Bitola.
